BUS
I had an awesome time at the Anseong Baudeogi Festival. I travelled solo but I very quickly met people to spend time with at the festival. It wasn’t awkward being alone at all. We arrived around 9:30 and it was BUSY. I was surprised by how big this festival was considering it’s kind of far away. There was a bit of traffic when we were arriving. The first thing I did at the festival was dress up in a hanbok. It was cool that it was free for everyone to try the hanbok and you could wear it for as long as you wanted, so I strolled around wearing the hanbok all day (until it started to rain). There was a really cute photo spot with rainbow umbrellas. Lunch was delicious and very filling. I’d say the portions were pretty generous). There were lots of traditional Korean games to participate in as well as traditional performances on stage. Lots of stalls to buy things as well. It has a great place to stroll around and spend the day. The festival grounds were quite big so it took a while to walk around everywhere. There were some international food stalls as well which were cool. I tried some Turkish ice cream. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. Overall I had a lovely time at the festival and I’d definitely go again. I didn’t see the main performance since I was sticking with the group of people I met, so I’d go back again to enjoy the performances more. Also, we didn’t get to go to the sky observatory due to the weather, so I missed out on that.
Bring an umbrella! It started to rain even though the forecast said it would be clear :(
