About your trip

As someone who loves art, I initially went to "The Painters" for, well, the art. But I left with so much more than I expected. Having never been to a live painting show before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I guess I imagined a quiet, subdued experience—maybe artists silently sketching or painting on stage. But let me tell you, this show is nothing like a typical day at the art gallery!! "The Painters" is a perfect mix of art, dance, music, and light shows that will leave you asking yourself, "how on earth did they do that?!" The performers aren’t just painters; they’re magicians, comedians, dancers, and artists in every sense of the word. They work at lightning speed, flinging paint here and there, and before you know it—bam! A stunning painting appears where minutes ago there were just random splatters. Sometimes, you have no idea what’s coming until the final reveal!! And it’s not just about the finished piece; it’s about the journey they take you on to get there. And the humor? They completely nail it. One minute, they're insanely talented performers, and the next, they’ve transformed into full-on comedians. It’s the kind of humor that transcends language barriers, making the show accessible to anyone, no matter where you’re from or your age. They also engage the audience with such effortless charm. When they brought people from the audience onto the stage, you could feel the excitement radiating from those lucky people. They were genuinely having a blast, and the audience felt it too—the performers made sure of that. I went through such a range of emotions watching them create. One moment, I was in awe of their incredible talent, and the next, I couldn’t stop smiling at their playful antics (my face actually started hurting from smiling so much!!) There was even a moment where I felt unexpectedly emotional because witnessing such beautiful art unfold in real time was truly moving. By the time it ended, I was so completely immersed in the experience that I hadn’t even realized how quickly the time had flown by. Well, I don’t want to spoil too much because you really need to experience it for yourself. One of the highlights of the afternoon? After the show, the artists were incredibly humble and generous, taking the time to take photos with everyone who wanted one, smiling and thanking the audience for coming, even though they must have been exhausted after such an energetic performance. Definitely a "Must-see Show in Seoul". I really want to thank FUNDAY KOREA for this incredible opportunity. The experiences you provide for foreigners are truly amazing—opportunities that many of us might never have had otherwise. A huge shoutout to the team; you’re the best, and your efforts to create such memorable experiences are deeply appreciated!!

TIP

- If you're arriving via Seodaemun Station, there's no need to exit. Simply head towards exit 5, and just before the escalators, take the glass doors on your right. - During the performance, photos and videos aren’t allowed—but don’t worry!! There’s a designated photo time after the show, so you’ll have the chance to capture some great memories. Until then, sit back, relax, and fully immerse yourself in the experience. - You can buy tickets at www.thepainters.co.kr, but Funday is giving away 30 tickets for the show every Saturday in September, so be sure to check it out!!
