Be Prepared: Keep some cash on hand, as some smaller vendors may not accept cards. 4. Cultural Etiquette: When participating in traditional activities like the tea ceremony or Hanbok wearing, be respectful and follow the guide’s instructions. 5. PowerBank: for extra batteries to capture more moments.
Day 1: A Journey of History, Culture, and Starry Nights 7:40 AM - Gathering Point: Start your adventure bright and early! Gather at the designated meeting point in Seoul. Make sure to have a light breakfast and pack some snacks for the journey. This part of the trip is all about enjoying the ride and the anticipation of what’s to come. The time estimate to arrive is 4 hours by bus. 12:00 PM - Lunch: After arriving in Jinju, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant. Expect to spend around ₩10,000-20,000 per person for a delicious traditional Korean meal. The local specialties, such as Jinju Bibimbap, are a must-try! I try the 물냉면 cold buckwheat noodles with cost ₩10,000. 1:00 PM - Pavilion of Floating Lights & Kim Si-min-ho Ship Cruise: Cost: ₩8,000 per person Experience the serene beauty of the Namgang River aboard the Kim Si-min-ho cruise. The Pavilion of Floating Lights is a stunning sight, offering a perfect introduction to Jinju’s rich cultural heritage. Don’t forget your camera! 1:30 PM - Namgang Yudeung Exhibition Hall: Cost: ₩2,000 per person for adult (teenager: ₩1,000, children: ₩500) Here, you’ll learn about Jinju’s famous floating lantern festival. The highlight is the floating lantern-making experience, where you can craft your own lantern to set afloat. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxing tea session with a view of the river. If you come with group, it is cheaper. 3:00 PM - Jinjuseong Fortress Tour & Hanbok Experience: Cost: ₩15,000 per person (Hanbok rent for 1h 30m) Step back in time as you explore Jinjuseong Fortress, a historical site that played a crucial role during the Imjin War. Enhance your experience by wearing a traditional Hanbok as you wander through the fortress grounds. The views of the Namgang River from the fortress walls are breathtaking. 5:50 PM - Dinner: As the day winds down, enjoy a hearty dinner at a nearby restaurant. The cost will be around ₩15,000-20,000 per person. Jinju's cuisine offers a delightful mix of flavors, perfect after a day of exploration. We ate at 천년의비빔밥. 6:50 PM - Namgang Picnic & Starlight Road: Cost: Free As the night sets in, lay out a picnic blanket under the stars along the Namgang River. Walk the Namgaram Starlight Road and marvel at the twinkling lights that mirror the stars above. This is a great spot to relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. 9:00 PM - Media Art at Jinjuseong Fortress & Cultural Heritage Night Tour: Cost: Free Witness the fortress come alive with vibrant media art projections that tell the story of Jinju’s history. The Jinju Cultural Heritage Night Tour offers an enchanting way to learn about the city’s past under the night sky. --- Day 2: Immersing in Culture and Thrilling Experiences 8:00 AM - Breakfast: Cost: ₩8,000 per person Our breakfast in 만나정 Restaurant with a buffet concept near from our accomodation by walking around 5 minutes. 9:30 AM - Healing Tea Ceremony: Cost: ₩10,000 per person Begin your day with a calming tea ceremony, where you’ll learn about the art of tea-making and its cultural significance. This experience is perfect for unwinding and starting the day on a peaceful note. 10:30 AM - Seungsan Rich Hanok Village: Cost: Free Stroll through this picturesque village, known for its well-preserved Hanok houses. It’s a fantastic spot for photography and to experience traditional Korean architecture up close. Take your time exploring and appreciating the serene atmosphere. 11:30 AM - Jinju Korea Entrepreneurship Center Get to know some famous and huge company founder in Korea such as GS, LG, Samsung, Hyoseong who are born in Jinju or near to Jinju City. 12:00 AM - Lunch: Enjoy a leisurely lunch in the village. Expect to spend around ₩10,000-15,000 per person for a meal featuring local ingredients. We ate in 백년손님 Restaurant the price around ₩8,000-28,000 depend on what you order. The menu is vary. There is chichken, soup, noodles, beef, and traditional menu as well with the side dish. 1:00 PM - Wolasan Forest Adventure: Cost: ₩7,000-50,000 per person (depending on activities chosen) Wolasan Forest offers a range of activities for all adventure lovers. Zip line through the forest, ride the rail bikes, or explore the garden exhibitions. There’s also a flea market where you can pick up unique souvenirs. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes! We try the zip line and it cost ₩7,000. There is also a food truck where you can buy coffee or other beverages and dessert around ₩1,500-5,000. We enjoyed 빙수 with ₩4,000 and you can eat it with 4 people. 3:00 PM - Departure to Seoul: The trip back to Seoul begins. Expect to arrive at Yangjae St. around 7:30 PM, depending on traffic.
