I joined the traditional Korean liquor experience program where we learned how to make makgeolli from scratch. The instructor explained the ingredients and fermentation process in an easy and fun way, and it was very interesting to mix everything ourselves and see how Korean rice wine is made. After that, we joined a tasting session of different Korean alcoholic drinks, including soju, makgeolli and Korean wine. It was a great chance to compare the flavors, learn about the differences, and find out which style we like the most. The atmosphere was friendly, and we could freely ask questions and talk with the staff. We also had time to buy alcohol at very good prices as souvenirs for our friends and for ourselves. At the end of the event, we took part in a small prize draw and it was exciting to wait and see who would win the gifts. Overall, it was a fun and educational experience that helped me understand Korean drinking culture better.
