You don’t need to bring much, the program provides almost everything! But I’d recommend bringing a bottle of water, a warm jacket or cardigan (it can get chilly in the evening), and comfortable shoes, because there’s a fair amount of walking throughout the day.

This was my first trip with Funday Korea, and it exceeded all my expectations! I’ve been living in Korea for over 5 years, but between studying and working, I haven’t had many chances to travel around. So when I saw a one-day program and realized I could join - I decided to participate, and I’m so glad I did. I’ve never heard of Yeoju before this trip, but it turned out to be such a great place. We started our trip at King Sejong’s burial site. It was raining the whole morning, which only added to the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery of the place. We explored the museum, learned about King Sejong’s achievements, and visited the ritual site and the tomb itself, which was very interesting! After that we had a quick lunch and went to a Hanok (traditional Korean house) for a tea ceremony. With the rainy weather that day, the warm tea was a perfect addition to the trip. We also met an architect who specializes in hank design - she gave us a mini tour and explained the meaning, structure, and history behind hanok design. In the evening, we made bracelets, played traditional Korean games (which were way harder than I expected lol), and just had fun. The day ended with a concert on traditional Korean instruments - they played traditional Korean music and even some Disney theme songs!
Here are a few tips for future participants: Wear comfortable shoes - there’s quite a bit of walking throughout the day, so your feet will appreciate it. Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated, especially if the weather is warm. Pack a light jacket or cardigan - it can get chilly in the evening, even if the day is warm. Bring a power bank - you’ll likely be taking a lot of photos and videos, so it's good to keep your phone charged. And finally, be open and talk to people! It’s a great opportunity to meet others and enjoy the experience together.
