I visited Yeoju, a city rich in Korean history and tradition. The trip began with a fascinating exploration of King Sejong’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learning about his contributions, especially the creation of Hangul, was inspiring. After a delicious local lunch, we headed to Botong-ri Traditional House, where we were welcomed with a traditional tea ceremony. The peaceful atmosphere set the tone for the rest of the day. We then toured the traditional house, admiring its architecture and cultural significance. Next, we enjoyed a hands-on Hanok model making experience, which deepened our understanding of Korean traditional homes. Finally, we took part in a bracelet-making workshop, a relaxing and creative way to end the day. It was a memorable journey filled with culture, history, and interactive learning.
Read a bit about King Sejong before the visit to appreciate his legacy more. Participate actively in all workshops — it makes the experience more meaningful. Respect the cultural spaces and follow any instructions from guides. Try local food during lunch — it's a big part of the cultural experience. Keep your crafts as souvenirs — they’re great conversation starters!
