BUS, SUBWAY
I had such a great time in this day trip :) For the activities, we first visited the royal thomb of King Sejong the Great, wich is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then, we went to 여주 보통리 고택 for the rest of the activities. The day was pretty chilly, so they greeted us with warm tea. Then, we received a lecture on hanoks by a specialist in the field, wich for me was one of the highlights. It was so interesting to learn about the characteristics of hanoks while actually observing one, and the professor was very kind and receptive of our questions. After this, we made hanok models in groups. The next activity was making korean traditional bracelets. It was really interesting to learn about the meaning and symbolism of each color from the staff. We then had a very fun traditional korean games competition, and some people even got prizes. Last but not least, we had the opportunity to enjoy a traditional music performance, which was also one of the highlights for me. We not only listened to the music, but the artists took the time to explain each song and taught us how to participate with them in the performance. Fun activities, the staff was friendly and helpful, the bus was comfy and had power outlets, and a delicious lunch and dinner were provided. Would totally recomend this trip, 10/10!
Just come ready to have fun :)
