We took a coach to the peaceful setting of King Sejong's tomb. The gardens are so nice for a walk and it feels very calm and relaxing. It also has a museum which offers and opportunity to leanr more about King Sejong and other royal families' history. There's also a nice little cafe with a delicious menu. Then we visit a Hanok that belonged to one of Korea's freedom fighters. An expert in Hanoks gave us a tour, explaining the reasoning behind each detail of the structure which was a really interesting insight into the culture. The houses really reflect the people and their mindsets. I also made a korean 5 colour bracelet which is a great souvenir for the tour. Lastly we got to play traditional korean games, like Squid Game but without the violence, and watched some amazing traditional music performers. It was such a satisfying and varied experience. I would definitely want to go again.
It's in the countryside so I would recommend sensible shoes and bring a bottle of water.
