What happens when art meets comedy, dance, and lights? You get The Painters – one of the most mind-blowing performances I’ve ever seen in Korea! I laughed, I gasped, and I kept wondering, “How did they do that?” The way they turned blank canvases into masterpieces in real time, sometimes even upside down, was nothing short of magical. 🪄🖌️ Plus, I got to take a picture with one of the super talented (and super handsome 😆) performers. He was like... a walking K-drama character with paint on his clothes. 🎭🖤
If you're heading to The Painters show at Kyunghyang Art Hill, here's how to get there smoothly. The venue is located on the 1st floor of Kyunghyang Art Hill (경향아트힐) in Jung-gu, Seoul (서울 중구 정동길 3). The easiest way to get there is by taking Subway Line 5 (Purple Line) and getting off at Seodaemun Station (서대문역). From Exit 5, walk straight for about 5 minutes toward the Kyunghyang Shinmun building (경향신문사). The venue will be on your right and is clearly marked on the first floor. Make sure to arrive 15–20 minutes early so you have enough time to pick up your ticket and find a good seat, as seating may not be assigned. You’ll also find some cool painted photo zones in the lobby, perfect for your Instagram feed! If you’re hungry before or after the show, check out the cozy cafés along Jeongdong-gil or head to the City Hall area for more dining options. It’s an easy and enjoyable trip to one of the most creative performances in town~
