BUS, TRAIN, PLANE
I visited Haedong Yonggung Temple on a beautiful day in Busan, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The journey was easy and enjoyable, as I took a bus to the temple, which is located along the eastern coast of the city. When I arrived, I was immediately struck by the peaceful atmosphere and the stunning views of the ocean. The temple is unique because it’s built right by the sea, offering an amazing combination of nature and spirituality. The entrance is marked by a beautiful gate, and the 108 stone steps that lead down to the temple felt like a sacred journey, each step bringing me closer to the calm of the temple. As I walked through the temple grounds, I admired the intricate statues, including the iconic Buddha statue overlooking the sea. The coastal views were breathtaking, and the gentle sound of the waves added to the sense of tranquility. I took some time to sit and reflect, soaking in the peaceful vibes of the place. I also made a small offering, following the custom, and felt a deep sense of serenity. It was a perfect spot to connect with nature, find some quiet, and experience the spiritual energy of the temple.
Haedong Yonggung Temple can get crowded, especially in the middle of the day, so try to visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon for a more peaceful experience.Since the temple is located by the coast, the weather can change quickly. A light jacket or sweater is a good idea, especially in cooler months. It’s okay to take photos, but be mindful of others who might be meditating or praying. Avoid taking intrusive or disruptive pictures.
