Immersive-K is an exhibition organized by the Gansong Art and Cultural Heritage Foundation, recognized as the world's first Korean-style immersive media art exhibition. It blends traditional Korean art with modern digital technology to offer a unique experience for visitors. Exhibition Details Location: Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Museum Exhibition Hall 2 Dates: August 15, 2024 – April 30, 2025 Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Closed on Mondays) Key Highlights The exhibition digitally reinterprets Korean national treasures, including the "Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon" (an ancient document about the Korean alphabet), "Miindo" (Portrait of a Beautiful Woman), and "Hyewon Jeonsincheop" (a historic painting collection). It consists of 8 large exhibition halls, 2 intermission spaces, and interactive experience zones, allowing visitors to engage with the artworks in various ways. The exhibition title is inspired by a calligraphic inscription left by Jeon Hyeong-pil, the founder of the Gansong Art Foundation, after Korea’s independence. This exhibition offers a fully immersive experience, merging traditional Korean art with advanced media technology. It provides art lovers with a multi-sensory journey and a fresh perspective on Korean cultural heritage.
