Joseon Dynasty Confucian School Experience
On September, 29th Funday Korea and 30 expats went to the Joseon Dynasty Confucian School to found out another side of DMZ that leads us back to the Joseon Dynasty and even deeper in the past.
We began our trip with Geonbong Temple that was first established in the 6th century and Goseong Unification Observatory where you can observe the sea and even mountains of North Korea.
After that, we headed to the Wangok Hanok Village. We stayed there overnight and enjoyed Korean traditional games among with calmness of the countryside.
On the last day of our trip, we visited the Joseon Dynasty Confucian School.
The Joseon Dynasty Confucian School in Goseong, Gangwon Province was established in 1420. It was destroyed two times but rebuilt again and now welcomes visitors. In order to become a Confucian scholar we put on traditional clothes and studied manners and some important aspects of Joseon scholars' life. At the end of the program, we watched the concert and enjoyed the handmade experience.
