Funday Korea Network hosted their first event in Gapyeong in October 2018 to celebrate
Halloween where our participants learned how Koreans historically celebrated
the Halloween in their own way on the ancient time.
In this event, they had chances to see the breathtaking beauty of the Garden of Morning Calm and to
have a short Cheoyongmu dance lesson. It's an old Korean spiritual dance which was performed by
the Korean antients, wearing masks to exorcize evil spirits and wish for peace.
After trying Cheoyongmu dance by themselves, they also watched a 2-hours of traditional
Korean dance performance, which was absolutely amazing!
펀데이코리아네트웍스가 할로윈을 기념하기 위해 기획된 첫번째 가평 행사를 성공적으로 마무리 하였습니다.
펀데이와 함께한 외국인 참가자들은 한국의 조상들도 그들의 방식대로 할로윈을 맞이했다는것을 배웠는데요,
이번 '가평에서 할로윈을' 이라는 주제의 이벤트에서 참가자들은 경치 좋은 아침고요수목원을 방문하고
처용무를 배워보는 짧은 강습도 가졌습니다. 처용무는 한국의 조상들이 악마의 기운을 쫓고 평화를 희망하기 위해
추곤 했던 한국 전통 춤입니다. 직접 처용무를 쳐보는 체험을 해본 뒤, 2시간의 놀라운 전통공연을
감상할 수 있는 기회 또한 가졌습니다.
