Seodaemun Prison
Sharescape (Share+Escape)
Seodaemun Prison, which was built in 1920, is a place where Korean independence activists were imprisoned and tortured, during the Japanese occupation. To share its history, we hold an annual event, “Sharescape.”
This year the event was moved to an online venue. Funday Korea Networks gathered foreign and Korean students to solve a quiz on Seodaemun Prison, share the history of Korea and other countries, and took part in a discussion about the difference of the Freedom movements now and the past. Apart from Korean history, we listened to educational presentations about the Ebrat Museum in Iran and the Pakistan Independence Movement.
It was an amazing new experience!
We will do our best to prepare more fun online events for you!
Stay tuned and join us at our future programs!!!
